Mark Ikonomu

Hi! I’m Mark — a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. I completed a three-year Massage Therapy diploma program with honours, which included over 2,200 hours of education and hands-on clinical training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, assessment, and therapeutic techniques. I am also fully insured for professional liability, ensuring safe, professional, and client-centered care in every treatment.

I’ve always had a strong passion for helping others, which led me to begin my post-secondary studies in nursing. Although I did not complete the degree, the experience provided me with a meaningful foundation in healthcare and reaffirmed my commitment to supporting others.

During that time, I also discovered a passion for fitness and bodybuilding. In my first year of nursing studies, I transformed my health by losing 75 pounds and adopting a more balanced lifestyle. What began as a personal commitment quickly developed into a competitive journey, leading me to the stage in several bodybuilding competitions before an injury brought that chapter to an end. Those experiences taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of recovery, while also deepening my understanding of how recovery, pain management, and overall well-being support long-term health.

That realization ultimately led me to pursue my true path in Massage Therapy. As a Registered Massage Therapist, I integrate my healthcare background and commitment to professional care to support clients in achieving their wellness goals, improving mobility, and enhancing overall well-being.

I moved to Brantford to be with my fiancé, who works as an ICU nurse, and I couldn’t be more excited to lay down roots here. I look forward to building strong community connections, growing my practice, and starting a family in the place we now call home.
